The Role

We are seeking a qualified Social Worker to provide remote case management and psychosocial support to refugee families in need. This role will be critical in assessing needs, connecting families with appropriate resources, and advocating for their well-being.

• Conduct assessments to evaluate the social, emotional, and material needs of refugee families.

• Develop individualised support plans and connect families with medical, educational, and financial aid programs.

• Identify the need for counselling and psychosocial support to help families navigate trauma, displacement, and instability.

• Monitor and follow up on cases to ensure families receive continued support.

• Work closely with the Relief Across Borders team, medical professionals, educators, and local organizations to provide holistic support.

• Maintain a strong referral network and connect families with specialised services when needed.

• Assist families in navigating bureaucratic and social service systems in their host countries.

• Maintain accurate and confidential case records, ensuring proper documentation of services provided.

• Provide regular case updates and impact reports.

• Identify trends and challenges affecting refugee families and recommend program improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Humanitarian Studies, or a related field.

• Experience working as a social worker, case manager, or refugee support specialist.

• Understanding of trauma-informed care, child protection, and crisis intervention.

• Strong ability to communicate with vulnerable populations in a compassionate and culturally sensitive manner.

• Proficiency in Arabic and/or English (additional languages such as French are a plus).

• Knowledge of legal frameworks and social services in host countries.

• Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively.

• Strong organisational skills, a compassionate nature, and a desire to make a difference.
