Vacancy: Fundraising Manager

Location:                Remote working with travel to field locations optional

The Role

We are looking for a Fundraising Manager to develop and execute strategies that drive financial support, build donor relationships, and secure grants to sustain and grow our impact.

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising strategy to secure donations from individuals, corporations, and institutional donors.

  • Identify, cultivate, and manage relationships with major donors, sponsors, and grant-making bodies.

  • Lead and execute fundraising campaigns, including digital, peer-to-peer, and in-person initiatives.

  • Explore new fundraising opportunities, such as events, crowdfunding, and corporate partnerships.

  • Research, write, and submit grant proposals and funding applications to secure financial support from international donors, foundations, and government bodies.

  • Track grant requirements, ensuring timely reporting and compliance with donor expectations.

  • Maintain a pipeline of potential funding opportunities and ensure alignment with the Relief Across Borders’ mission.

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential donors.

  • Create tailored donor engagement plans, including regular updates, impact reports, and recognition initiatives.

  • Oversee donor communications, ensuring transparency, gratitude, and ongoing engagement.

  • Maintain accurate records of donations, donor engagement, and fundraising performance.

  • Use data insights to optimise fundraising strategies and improve donor retention.

  • Prepare and present fundraising reports to leadership and key stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in fundraising, donor relations, or business development (preferably in the NGO sector).

  • Track record of securing funds through grants, individual giving, and corporate partnerships.

  • Excellent grant writing, proposal development, and presentation skills.

  • Knowledge of digital fundraising, crowdfunding platforms, and donor management systems.

  • Ability to build long-term relationships with donors, sponsors, and institutional funders.

  • Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills to develop effective fundraising strategies.

  • Fluency in Arabic or French (in addition to English) (preferable but not required).

  • Proficiency in using Google Suite.

  • Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively.

  • Strong organisational skills, a compassionate nature, and a desire to make a difference.
