Vacancy: Evacuation Support Manager

The Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as an Evacuation Support Officer, providing essential follow-up support to families who have been medically evacuated from conflict zones. This role is ideal for individuals with a background in social work, healthcare, law, child welfare, humanitarian aid, or case management, who are passionate about supporting vulnerable families. 

  • Conduct regular check-ins with evacuated families to ensure they receive appropriate support.

  • Identify and escalate any concerns, such as medical, legal, or social issues.

  • Provide reassurance and guidance to Case Workers as families adjust to their new circumstances.

  • Ensure families understand available support services and how to access them.

  • Flag urgent concerns, such as missing documentation or medical needs, within the appropriate channels.

  • Adhere to GDPR and confidentiality protocols, ensuring that sensitive information is handled responsibly.

  • Generate reports summarising evacuation trends, challenges, and areas for improvement.

Requirements

  • Experience in social work, healthcare, law, child welfare, humanitarian aid, case management, or a related field.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide empathetic support.

  • Ability to work independently while ensuring seamless coordination with the wider team.

  • High attention to detail, particularly in record-keeping and documentation.

  • Proficiency in Google Suite and database management systems.

  • Strong organisational skills, a compassionate nature, and a desire to make a difference.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Degree in social work, healthcare, law, child welfare, international relations humanitarian aid or a related field.
